SCI Christmas Fair – 1st December 2012

This was a popular event as usual with a great turn-out. The workshops were all busy and everyone seemed to enjoy getting a chance to make things – children and adults alike. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make it such a success. The SCI Fair has become a bit of a tradition in Burntisland and we already have ideas for next year. So make sure you come along next year!

Love Local Christmas Fayre 2011

SCI worked together with the Fife Diet to bring the popular 'buy local' Christmas fayre to St Serfs Hall in Burntisland on 10th December - this year advertised as 'Love Local Christmas Fayre'.

There were lots of activities for adults and kids to enjoy - Xmas tree decorations to make, gingerbread making and icing, knitting with the Burntisland Knitting group and the ever popular wreathmaking. There were also stalls with local craftsmen, artists and food suppliers selling beautiful gifts and delicious treats. And for those who just wanted to sit down and take it easy, the Broomhill Gardens Association ran a lovely cafe with lots of homebaking and hot drinks, and a storyteller told Christmas stories to the children.

It was a great day and as busy as usual. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part in making the fayre so enjoyable and to everyone who came along.
